Terms of use

lakeway.life is a free, ad-free guide to the Lakeway Area. These are the ground rules for using it — short, because there isn’t much to it.

Listing information is a starting point

We compile listings from public sources and from what business owners tell us, and we try to keep them right. Even so, hours change, phone numbers get reassigned, kitchens close early, and businesses move or shut down without telling anyone.

Check with the business before you rely on anything here — especially hours, prices, and whether they’re still open. Listings are provided as-is, and we can’t promise they’re accurate, complete, or current.

Spotted something wrong? Tell us through the contact form — corrections are genuinely welcome.

We’re not affiliated with the businesses listed

A listing on lakeway.life doesn’t mean a business sponsors us, endorses us, or has any relationship with us. Business names and logos belong to their owners.

Being listed is free. If a business pays for an enhanced listing — extra photos, a menu, more detail — that never buys a higher position in results, a better rating, or the removal of a review, and paid listings are always labeled.

Anything that happens between you and a business — a meal, a purchase, a booking, a dispute — is between the two of you. We’re a directory, not a party to it.

Reviews

Reviews should be your own honest, firsthand experience. Please don’t post reviews of your own business or a competitor’s, and don’t post anything false, harassing, hateful, or unlawful, or anything that reveals private information about someone.

Every review is read before it appears, and we may decline or remove any review at our discretion. We won’t remove one just because a business dislikes it.

By submitting a review you’re giving us permission to publish it on the site, alongside the name you provide. You can ask us to take it down at any time — see the privacy page.

Claiming a listing

Claiming lets a business owner confirm their details and keep them current. It doesn’t transfer ownership of the listing page to you, and it isn’t a paid or advertising relationship — the page stays ours to publish, correct, or remove.

Please only claim a business you actually own or are authorized to represent. We review each claim, and we may ask for something that verifies the connection before approving it.

If you’d rather not be listed at all, ask and we’ll remove the listing.

Using the site

Browse it, share it, and use it to find your next local favorite — that’s what it’s for. Please don’t scrape or bulk-copy the directory, submit spam through the forms, or try to disrupt the site for other people.

The site is offered as-is and free of charge. We can’t guarantee it will always be available or error-free, and to the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for losses arising from using it or from relying on a listing.

Changes

We may update these terms as the site grows. The current version always lives on this page.
