Privacy

We only receive information you type into a form and submit. There are four of them:

• Leaving a review — your name, your email, your rating, and what you wrote.
• Claiming a business — your name, email, phone, and your relationship to the business.
• Suggesting a listing — the business details, plus your name and email so we can follow up.
• Contacting us — your name, email, and message.

You can browse the entire directory without giving us anything. No account is needed, and we don’t offer one.

If we publish your review, the name you gave and the text of your review appear publicly on the listing page. Use a first name or initials if you’d rather not be identified.

Your email address is never published. It’s only there so we can reach you about what you sent.

• We don’t sell, rent, or share your information.
• We don’t run ads or any advertising network.
• We don’t use analytics, tracking pixels, session recording, or third-party scripts of any kind.
• We don’t send marketing email, and there’s no mailing list.
• We don’t build a profile of you or track you across other sites.

Lakeway Life sets no advertising or tracking cookies. Your browser may store ordinary technical data needed to load the page, and our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, but neither is used to identify or follow you.

Form submissions are stored on servers in the United States, and your information isn’t transferred overseas. We rely on outside companies to run the site and the database — they hold the data so the site can work, not to use it for their own purposes.

Listing pages may link out to a business’s own website, social profiles, or Google Maps. Once you follow one of those links you’re on someone else’s site, under their privacy policy, not ours.

The same goes for our store. It carries our name, but it’s a separate site run on an outside shop platform — anything you buy there, including payment and shipping details, is collected and handled by them under their privacy policy, not this one. Nothing you enter in the store comes back to the directory.

Ask and we’ll delete it — a review, a submission, a message, whatever you sent. You don’t need to give a reason.

Send the request through the contact form and tell us enough to find it (the business name, or the email you used).

Business owners: if you’d like your listing corrected or taken down entirely, use the same form and we’ll take care of it.

This site is meant for a general audience and isn’t directed at children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect their information; if you believe a child sent us something, let us know and we’ll remove it.

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we’ll update this page. Since we have no mailing list, there’s no notification to send — checking back here is the way to see where things stand.
